Usually a visit to a Hollywood set is an exotic experience, taking you to another place or time. I’ve seen critics practically go into orbit when allowed on to the set of one of the later “Star Trek” series, or stand in reverent silence while taking in the Oval Office on the set of “The West Wing.”
